Considering a career change?  Thinking of changing occupations but not sure what field might interest you?

One of the absolute best resources to help you explore different fields of work and occupations is the U.S. Government Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).  This is an agency that taxpayers fund that can be very useful to Jobseekers.

The BLS Occupational Outlook Handbook is a valuable resource containing the latest and most accurate information about various occupations.

For hundreds of different types of jobs—such as teacher, lawyer, and nurse—the Occupational Outlook Handbook tells you:

  • the training and education needed
  • earnings
  • expected job prospects
  • what workers do on the job
  • working conditions

In addition, the Handbook gives you job search tips, links to information about the job market in each State, and more. You can also view frequently asked questions about the Handbook.

You have helped pay for this information – why not use it!  Take advantage of the many job resources the BLS provides.
